A member asked:

I have a blister on my lip & my head hurts. it feels like my mouth is aching & my throat feels a little sore. what could it be & what can make it bett?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Herpetic lesion: Blisters on the lip are most commonly herpetic. Although hsv1 most commonly causes this issue, occasionally it could be due to herpes zoster or shingles. Shingles can involve the inner aspect of the mouth and cause pain and headache. See a physician to rule out herpes zoster or hsv1 infection and they may start an oral antiviral to treat.
