Keep clean.: Follow the directions given to you by the doctor who removed the ingrown nail. Usually, those instructions consist of keeping it clean, and possibly using some antibiotic ointment and a bandaid to cover. Some physicians recommend daily soaking in warm water and epsom salts. Use an open toed shoe or sandal to keep pressure from the area until it heals.
