If the wisdom teeth don't have enough space on the dental arches to erupt which can be the effect on a tmj joint ( which is already degenerated)?

Yes: If there isn't enough space for your wisdom teeth, it's likely your jaw hasn't fully developed. If your jaws aren't developed then your bite is off causing TMJ tmd symptoms.

Could create a prob: If the wisdom teeth don't have enough space to erupt, and you already have a degenerated TMJ joint, it could lead to more problems. The wisdom tooth/teeth can push against the other teeth causing shifting and changes in the bite. Also can damage the teeth in front of them. Need to have a thorough history, exam and consultation.

Hard to say: Typically wisdom teeth do not affect TMJ issues. I would suggest seeing a dentist to evaluate the degenerative process of your TMJ joint. Erupting wisdom teeth can put pressure on the existing teeth and cause a lot of pain in the area so you should have the wisdom teeth evaluated as well.

Unrelated: The room that wisdom teeth either have or don't have to erupt has no relationship to presence or absence of TMJ problems.
