Can taking your cast before a broken bone is healed cause harmful damage?

Yes.: When a doctor casts you, it is generally to keep your muscles from pulling at a bone as it heals. If you remove the cast, and your foot moves, the bone pieces may shift, and it may allow the bone to heal in a crooked position. You should keep your cast on as long as your doctor advises you to.
