Not from U/S.: Your sister's pain is almost certainly the result of the indication for transvaginal ultrasound, not the examination itself. Please ask her to seek medical care as soon as possible, as many life-threatening conditions can present this way (ectopic, heterotopic pregnancies, ovarian torsion, cyst rupture, appendicitis, etc).
