I was scheduled for a transvaginal ultrasound on 05/08, and just started my period about 2 days ago. they only last about 5 so it may be gone by then, but would that get in the way of the appointment? would i have to reschedule if its still here??

It really depends on what the reason for the ultrasound is. If there is a specific interest in the uterine lining then it might need to be rescheduled, but if that were the case they probably would have taken your cycle into account when scheduling in the first place.
