If you get paint thinner in your eyes, will it cause instant, permanent loss of vision?

No: Paint thinner is caustic and can cause significant ocular damage if prolonged contact occurs. If you flush it out quickly, severe injury can be avoided. Vision after a corneal burn from paint thinner will be poor immediately after the injury but should improve as the eyes heal. The final vision varies depending on the extent of the injury.
