What hurts?: Most of the time when teeth are extracted, there is going to be pain...It is a surgery. The extent of the extractions and whether the teeth were badly broken down, infected, molars, premolars or incisors, upper or lower can often dictate the pain and how long. Sometimes parts of the tooth were unintentionally not removed and that could also cause persistent pain. See your dentist/os if persists.
