Possible: Ms typically presents with optic neuritis but you can get iptic neuritis from other things.

Maybe not : The odds of optic neuritis eventuating in ms are anywhere from 16-50%, with a normal MRI study. Yet, if one or more white matter lesions are present, there is an 80% chance of clinically definite ms within 14 yrs (queensquare study from england). Talk to your doctor about your studies. If there is a diagnostic question, spinal fluid may answer the diagnosis.
