Depending on problem: Proper immobilization and support is essential as well as adequate rest. Physical therapy is helpful after any fracture or soft tissue has sufficiently healed to reduce stiffness and swelling. Range of motion exercises at this stage also will help. In cases of delayed bone healing, the use of a bone stimulator may be beneficial. Discuss with your doctor.
