First you need to: know how severe a sprain it is grades I,II,& III are all treated differently. as far as speeding up healing, your body is programed to heal, and hard to boost the speed. get in to see an ortho get a Dx & B treated according to his/her recommendations.

RICE: Rest, ice, compression, elevation are the standard initial treatments for a sprained ankle. If it seems severe, consider being seen to rule out an associated fracture.
