No: Beer is not a good option for back pain, if someone has an alcohol problem they may begin to see things this way, however they begin to see beer as helping with many things it actually does not help with, physical pain, emotional pain. A drunken state may temporarily cover up back pain, thats it, much better options for back pain, including non addictive meds, physical therapy, evaluation by docto.

Only temporarily: Alcohol has muscle relaxing properties but it has activations too. The rebound from alcohol makes pain worse and leads to it being one of the most addictive sedatives and one of the most toxic to the liver. Drinking beer for pain relief often ends up in problem drinking or worse, alcohol dependence with all the extra health and personal complications. See a doctor for diagnosis and safe treatment.
