A member asked:

I was diagnosed with acute colitis three months back and treated.what kind of food should i eat to stay safe? is drinking beer ok(1-2 times/month)

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: On individual, but some people find that reducing dairy products is helpful, as well as difficult to digest foods (corn), and foods that produce lots of gas (broccoli, asparagus, cauliflower, beans). Alcohol is not good, and i would not recommend it. Others find that reducing gluten in their diet may help. Still others find no problems with any foods at all. You should address ? To GI doctor.
