Stool exam: There are several tests that can be done on stool. Tests could be for infection by bacteria or parasites. Tests could show inflammation or digestive disorders. The occult blood tests shows microscopic quantities of blood in the stool that could come from several reasons from hemorrhoids, polyps, diseases, ulcers or even a tumor.
