How are kidneys damaged? can it be by foods, such as spicy foods (hot cheetos)? can they be damaged by certain activities you do? such as intercourse?

None of that: Usual causes include poorly controlled diabetes, hypertension, and blood vessel disease caused by aging and cholesterol deposits. Also, hereditary disease including polycystic disease. Also, stones that could block the kidneys and tumors are to be considered. Cheetos has much salt that could aggravate blood pressure. Intercourse could cause recurrent urine infections but none hurts kidney directly.

No. : Diabetes is the number 1 cause of kidney disease in the us, followed by hypertension. Other contributors are vascular insufficiency, infections, inflammatory conditions, drugs, tobacco, and dehydration.
