Yes: Many patients who have lip injections may try both juvederm and restylane (dermal fillers). Most of the time patients choose to "fill up" before all of the filler is gone. Often times, they may want to try the other brand of filler to see if it lasts longer. It would be rare for a patient to wait until it is 100% gone, before switching to the other brand filler. I'm sure other practices see this all the time.

Yes: If you've had one or the other before, and want to try something different, that is fine. I wouldn't recommend having both done on the same day.

YES: Both products are made of the same base compound (hyaluronic acid) and are compatible if injected to the same area.

Similar products: Yes, it is ok to use juvederm and Restylane (dermal fillers) together. They are both hylauronic acid products with a variance in particle size. The characteristics of each product is what determines where and how they are used. Usually, only one product is chosen but there are occasions when both may be used together.

Yes: Both are derivatives of hyaluronic acid, a natural component of many tissues, but they do have subtle differences in the way they behave in different tissues. They can be used consecutively, and in some cases can be used concurrently.

Lip injections: Not all fillers have FDA approval for use in the lips. Speak to your surgeon prior to having injections.Be sure to have your face evaluated by a board certified facial plastic surgeon.
