Depends: Effectiveness depends on the level of patient anxiety, the drug or drug combination used, the dosage, the length of the procedure and the stimulation caused by the procedure. All of these must be factored in when selecting an appropriate sedation. Consult with your dentist, physician or anesthesiologist for recommendations. Never self medicate.
