Depends: This is a rather complex question. Bicep tendonitis is caused by repeated irritation or overuse of the tendon. Depending on the type of treatment you elect to obtain and how willing or able you are to modify your actions, it could resolve rather quickly or it could become a more chronic problem.

Biceps tendonitis: Biceps tendonitis can typically occur either at the shoulder or at the elbow. Either way it's typically related to trauma of some sort whether immediate or repetitive strain. Time to heal will largely depend on how early it's caught and how much you can rest it. Medications, therapy, and injections may also have a role. Good luck.
