Physical abuse: A spiral fracture is a fracture wherein the bone is twisted apart like a cork screw. It is usually associated with physical or sexual abuse the femur is one of the strongest bones in the body. Considerable force needs to be taken to break your femur bone. The most common cause of femur fracture is car accidents or falls from heights.
