YES: The Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) injection for contraception provides protection for 3 months. While there may be some residual protection from the prior injection, there is no certainty it will and pregnancy can occur anytime sex occurs, even with withdrawal after the missed Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) shot. You should check a pregnancy test later this month and see evaluation from your OB given your need for birth control.
