A member asked:

I was told that my gallbladder wall measures 9ml does that mean i need my gallbladder taken out?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

In what context...?: No x-ray finding is absolutely normal or abnormal unless it is viewed in clinical context--e.g. Is the patient symptomatic or ill? Measurement of the gallbladder wall (in millimeters, not milliliters) when thickened may indicate gallbladder inflammation, but it may also mean the gallbladder was partially (and normally) contracted.
