See below: A physiatrist or specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of nerve, muscle, and bone disorders with the goal of decreasing pain and improving function. Expect a comprehensive physical exam, possible x-rays, review of your medical history/records, detailed explanation of your condition, and a complete non-surgical plan to get you feeling better.
