Can a doc practice while using illegal substances?

Not supposed to...: Doctors are human so some of us use (and even abuse) legal & illicit substances. The bigger concern is actually practicing medicine while under the influence and unfortunately, some do so. Are we supposed to? No but sadly it will happen until a patient gets injured or the physician/surgeon is caught and his/her license is revoked.

No: Every licensing board asks the question about using illegal meds or drugs. You can lose your license to practice medicine if caught.
