Chronic cough: The managment should include a chest x-ray, spirometry and test for whooping cough. If tests are negative, work-up for allergies is next. In the meantime, keep him in a smoke-free environment.

Another doc: He may need pfts for asthma or cxr for tb there are many diseases that give you terrible cough doc.
