What kind of mouthwash helps to get rid of gum disease?

No mouthwash: Gets rid of gum disease. There is a prescription rinse called Peridex (chlorhexidine gluconate) that can be dispensed by a dentist that can help. But you need to be evaluated by a dentist to determine the cause and then be appropriately treated.

Some thoughts... : Coconut oil swishing can be helpful. See a periodontist or dentist. They will treat first with a scaling & root planing procedure. If this first step fails to inactivate the periodontal disease, additional treatment of repeating the scaling & root planing & adding laser treatment may be used. A surgical procedure may be needed if treatments do not inactivate it. Quarterly periodontal maintenance.

Wrong approach: Tooth brushing, flossing, a healthy diet, and cleanings by your dentist are the best ways to avoid and treat gum disease. While certain antimicrobial mouth rinses may help, they are just a minor adjunct to the prevention and treatment. Allow follow your own dentist's recommendations.

Gum disease: If gum disease is present then the only course of action is intervention by your dentist or periodontist. Of course, good oral hygiene is an essential part of the treatment and maintenance of healthy gums. There is no magic mouthwash to cure gum disease.

Gingivitis: Listerine, peridex, (chlorhexidine gluconate) natural dentist are mouth rinses that can reduce gingivitis: the first stage of gum disease. If you have more advanced gum disease they are useless.
