See answer below: I ama pediatric dentist. Yellow patches may be congenital malformations of the enamel. They can be caused by high fevers, virus or sometimes a difficult delivery. If it is not decay, i tend to leave them alone until about age three; then i may bond a whiate material over the spot for a more pleasing appearance.

No too much.........: Other than brushing the teeth, there is nothing that needs to be done about slight tooth discolorations. This has no relation to the color of the permanent teeth.
