A member asked:

What exactly is the skin grafting procedure?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Moving skin: The most common is "split thickness skin grafting" a thin layer of skin is shaved from an area usually the thigh and used to heal another area which is needing skin. There are a lot of variations including "full thickness skin grafting" which moves the whole thickness of the skin for a different result.
