Metastasis to bone: From head and neck cancer, oropharynx like yours, or oral cavity, occur, but usually they occur within 2 years of diagnosis, and that means the loco-regional treatment has had some success...It is the largest cause of failure, and lung metastasis as well. These are in the range of 10%.

Throat cancer: Can present, or have metachronous metastasis to bones. . . It and lung cancer are the common metastatic sites. Usually this occurs within 2-3 years after successful loco-regional treatment. May be less with chemoradiotherapy.
