Some studies say so: There aren't a lot of studies examining side effects and high caffeine intake; however, some articles say caffeine can trigger hallucinations, even in normal volunteers. You might consider decreasing comsupmtion. No need to stop: Excess coffee can cause extra systoles, and thus a seemingly irregular heart beat, headaches are usually eased with caffeine, but hallucinations do not fit. Are you sure this is a coffee category or should we evaluate a different situation. Do you have atrial fibrillation or another primary cardiac arrhythmia, do you have a thyroid issue, do you have new medications? Get this diagnosed.
