About

Bio

As a Libra/Scorpio cusp I felt I was always intrigued by not only medicine but also psychiatry, which I felt gave me the requisite medical training that could give me the ability to help people physically and bask in the rewards offered by the level of creativity afforded by psychiatry. I'm also a polyglot, having to move around the world growing up a lot - though it didn't make me "cool," I learned to speak 5 languages out of it, which I only appreciated later, and am thankful to my parents for.

Doctors may have more than one area of specialty interest. Board certification in a specialty area means the doctor has completed formal training and has practice experience in that specialty, and has passed the certification examination from the corresponding accredited medical specialty board.

B/n 3.9-5.5%: Here is a link on a study done on rls: http://www.Ncbi.Nlm.Nih.Gov/pubmed/12127170 rls is more common in women than men (hence the range). The stanford study found that alcohol and/or smoking use, as with night-shift working, increases risk of rls. They also said that with increased age RLS risk increases, and that sleep apnea and coffee consumption also contributed. They said more data was needed.

Could be fatal: Anorexia nervosa could possibly lead to a severe depletion of the level of potassium in your blood, which could potentially stop your heart from beating. Here are some good resources for getting help/learning more: http://eatingdisorders.Ucla.Edu/body.Cfm?Id=19&otopid=38 http://www.Ncbi.Nlm.Nih.Gov/pmc/articles/pmc2323541/ anorexia can be deadly - be careful and consult your physician.

It could be: Without knowing what type of alcohol you've been using, and your previous pattern of use, it's difficult to determine definitively if it's a result of alcohol withdrawal vs. Dehydration (or any other consequence of alcohol consumption). You should definitely check in with your primary care physician to make sure this is not the result of something else, and to discuss treatment options.
