Tell your doctor: If you feel the change in medication is making things worse for you, please tell your psychiatrist. Describe exactly what you're experiencing, in detail. I'm sure s/he would want to know, so that adjustments or changes can be made.

Talk with Doctor: Talk with your doctor and be clear about your concerns. Ask him or her about the plan to control your symptoms. You didn't say which symptoms are worse. Is it possible your doctor is trying to discontinue the zyprexa (olanzapine) because you have gained a lot of weight and there is a fear you may become diabetic? For what reason does the doctor want to stop zyprexa (olanzapine)?

Can use another med: In dissociative disordered patients, sometimes it is necessary to use antipsychotic medications, especially if a component of the underlying ptsd is a psychosis. People with did can have organic hallucinations from the trauma of the ptsd along with the so-called pseudo-psychosis of the other inner voices representing the other personalities who can also experience the psychosis when meds stop.

Thanks for asking!: I agree with the above. Some worsening can be from withdrawal which is more physical sx eg. Dizziness, poor sleep which might be rx with alt meds. Relapse of hallucinations, agitation, delusions would call for more cross-taper eg adding another antipsychotic med while tapering.
