I had a bad headaches a week ago and took meds but still have a slight headache pain behind my eye and back towards my temple for a week. what iscause?

Headache: Your description sounds like a migraine or stress-related headache. I would try over-the-counter medications and if no improvement, i would go see your regular doctor for further evaluation and treatment.

Self care : Ice application as well as warm compresses can help with headache disorders. I have had patients who have been able to manage their symptoms completely using ice application followed by warm compresses. You can also massage your temples for a couple of minutes following the ice/warm application. You may need a muscle relaxant or a check up with your pcp.
