Unexplained crying: By definition it is not due to illness or defect.Frequency peaks @ 6wks. Often attributed to tummy pain there is no proof, though many get gassy if they cry that much.It often disappears as baby begins to roll over & entertain themself. There is no evidence that any treatment alters the pattern.People do what they can, then put on the ear phones & take a break. Thankfully it will pass.

Patience: You can try phazyme gas drops instead of simethicone. You may discuss with your pediatrician about changing to soy, lactose free or nutramigen. Colic may be mild or severe. Can last 3 months , 6 months, 1 year up to three years! usually, 3 months. Everything you are doing is a matter of buying time . Keep your fingers crossed that it will just be three months colic. Stay calm and be patient!
