Stretch/strengthen: It is important to stretch your muscles every day - 5 minutes more in the shower in the moring will help, also doing back strengthening with exercise will help.

Find out cause: The best answer is to see a physician and get an accurate diagnosis and treatment. In the meantime, it may be helpful to use a back brace to reduce muscle spasms. We performed a study in which patients wore a brace only 2 hours per day. They reported their pain was reduced by 50% from the very first day of the study.
