Doctor Guided Care: Acne is caused by plugged hair follicle units (excess oil/debris/bacteria) & inflammation. Prevalence in 25 yr old females is 12%. Therapy includes topical/oral meds to control infection/inflammation. Medication-induced irritation/dryness is common. Finding right balance is challenging, even w/ mild acne. Your chances at successful treatment are best under the care of your doctor or dermatologist.
