It varies: There are so many different technigues that it varies quite a bit. In general if there has not bee preperiosteal or subperiosteal undermining the swelling should subside for the most part in two weeks and minor asymmetries for about a month.

Facelift Recovery: Generally, there is a significant reduction in post-op swelling after facelift over the first 2 weeks. By 6 weeks, the vast majority (80-90%) of swelling has resolved, but complete resolution may take 12 weeks or more.

Technique matters: The majority of swelling will go away in 7 days or so, but differing facelift techniques make a difference. Deep plane lifts, for example, tend to have a longer period of swelling before things return to normal. Discuss with your surgeon.

Weeks: It depend on the type of facelift. A limited incision with minimal dissection will have about 1 week to 10'days of recovery. When performing a deep plane facelift the swelling lasts little longer approximately 2 to 3 weeks. At that point patients are typically able to resume social activities and feel comfortable.

Depends: Swelling is dependent on what type of facelift is done. A mini facelift will heal quicker than a deep plane facelift, but will also provide less improvement. 75% will be resolved in 3 weeks, but you tend to look your best at 4-6 months after surgery.

2-6 weeks: It will take somewhere from 2-6 weeks to see a real change in swelling. It does have to do with the type of facelift as well... The more complex the longer the recovery.... But don't be surprised if the numbness etc takes more like 6 months to feel all better

2 weeks: Every patient is different. The bruising and initial swelling will resolve over the first 1-2 weeks but the final result will take up to 6 weeks to see.

Depends on surgeon: As well a the type of facelift technique utilized. Some "brand-name" techniques capitalize on the fact that they use less dissection (usually leading to poorer and less-lasting results) to cause less bruising and fast(er) recovery. Healing still takes a few weeks, so have the best operation done by an abps-certified plastic surgeon for optimal/longest-lasting result and fastest healing.
