What does pulmonary scarring mean in a chest x-ray result?

Probably nothing: Scar tissues can be a common finding on chest x-rays which most probably does not have any significance. However it should be interpreted with clinical findings if any. Your doctor may be helpful in this.

Sign of old issue: You may have had a pneumonia, inhalation injury, or other problem in the past.
