It sounds like there wasn’t a full deep breath taken for this x-ray. So, at the bottom of the left lung there is a minimal white line on the x-Ray. This white line could be a non-expanded piece of lung (atelectasis) or a scar or just the technique of the film. If there is concern, a CAT scan of the chest could be obtained and a lung doctor seen.
