Pain meds: You can take an over the counter pain medicine. Ibuprofen is fairly good if you can take NSAID medicines. However pain in a tooth is caused by something, so go to your dentist and see what is occurring and get it treated.

OTC TEETH GELS: Any over the counter dental medication is fine but for a fast relieve its better to use meds. In a liquid or tell form that has almost immediate effect like orajel tooth gel or similar, that would be temporary tell you go to the dentist.
