Proven ?: Alcohol is a CNS depressant, which is a known fact. Depress your central nervous system, and pretty much everything gets "numb", including your motor skills and reasoning. Relief is temporary; if you drink enough, you will not only wake up with a hang-over, but you will still have the toothache. See a dentist and get that tooth restored.

OTC Med and DDS: Dr. Davantzis provided an excellent answer to your question and is right on the mark! many people have taken alcohol to relieve the pain of a tooth ache, either because they had nothing else available to use and\or they did not have the knowledge as to what to do, or maybe even the courage to see a dentist after years of neglect. Now you have the information and need to see a dentist.
