It's complicated: The ear and the jaw, or temporomandibular, joint (TMJ) are separated by a thin layer of tissue, such that pain and inflammation in one is often experienced in the other. This makes diagnosis difficult, of course. I think you should have a health practitioner look in your ear to be sure you don't have an infection. Good luck!

Ear ache: It may be ear or it may be jaw-joint (TMJ). See yourPhysician to rule out ear infection or anatomic abnormality. If cleared, then see your Dentist to evaluate for jaw joint dyscrasia.
