Common problem: The average 1yo will have 5 respiratory & 2-3 diarrheal viruses / yr until the age of 5. Most of these run their course in 5-7 days & may run fever during the process, fever is the bodies way of turning on the extra metabolism needed to make antibodies to fight germs. I view it as a positive sign that a kid has a competent immune system.
