Depends: Both a podiatrist or orthopedist can treat heel fractures. Having said that, not all podiatrists or orthopedic surgeons are specialists in foot trauma. Try to find a physician that specializes in foot/ankle trauma. Your search may lead you to podiatrist or orthopedic surgeon.

Depends on expertise: Some podiatrist and some orthopedist will have the experience in that area. Not all do. Find one with experience and training in that area.
