It depends : Records need to be taken - models, photographs, x-rays etc. Then the case needs to be treatment planned. Typically it's about 2 weeks but can vary depending on schedule availability.

It depends: This depends upon the procedures in the office. Records must first be taken and a treatment plan determined before the braces can be placed. Some orthodontists have a separate appointment at which they present the treatment plan for approval. Some orthodontists do not have this appointment, so the braces can be placed more quickly. It will probably be a week or two after your records are taken.

Depends: Depends on how the specialist Orthodontist schedules diagnostic records (similar to lab tests), consultation (case review), and times available in his/her schedule. Pre-Orthodontic procedures such as initial periodontal preparation, elimination of cavities, examination by physician/oral surgeon/endodontist/etc may also be required pre-braces. Talk to your Orthodontist about your scheduling.
