A member asked:

Got 2 of my amalgams removed while breastfeeding, should i be worried about my toddler?

No: There should be no effect on your baby from such a procedure. Removing old amalgams does not increase environmental mercury in your body. All the elemental mercury is bound by the silver in the amalgam and is not free. Therefore, neither you nor your baby should have any problems.

Probably not: Yo can't do much about it now. There is mercury in a lot of things these days. We all have the ability to chelate a certain amount of heavy metals. You just might want to be careful in the future with him.
