Postop recovery: Typically after a breast reduction the patient will recuperate for about 1 week prior to returning to work/school. In addition, there will some restriction of activities for usually at least 2 weeks after surgery. This usually includes no heavy lifting or exercise for 2 weeks.

Healing time....: If you mean the time by which the scars appear relatively mature, 3-6 months. If you mean the time after which you can return to most activities, 1 month.

Depends.: A precise answer to your question will depend on what you mean by “healing time”. For example, swelling dissipates within a few months and scars improve/mature during the first year. The breasts will change in size/shape also during that first year. Most patients are able to return to exercise/full activity within 4 to 6 weeks. Hope this helps.
