Natural Drainage: A fistula is the body's mechanism to drain an infection. It appears as a hole/pimple above or in the area of an infection. They are not only found in the mouth, but are most commonly detected in the oral cavity. Your dentist has techniques that allow them to tract the fistula channel to discover the source of the infection and recommend treatment. If present, seek care ASAP.
