What is the difference between weight loss surgery and breast reduction?

Plenty: Weight loss surgery involves reducing the capacity of food someone can eat by surgically altering the anatomy of the stomach. This can be done with a bypass, band or sleeve procedure. This results in total body weight loss including potentially the breast. Breast reduction is aimed at surgically removing breast tissue to decrease the size of the breast but doesn't affect other areas of the body.

Lots: Weight loss surgery is systemic- it not only helps you lose weight in the fat below your skin, but in the fat throughout your body. Do not get a breast reduction then weight loss surgery- as you will have to have another surgery. Get weight loss surgery first.
