Floss and fluoride: It is possible but very difficult to achieve this goal. The most important factor is meticulous oral hygiene including flossing, burshing and Fluoride use. Secondly, you have to keep routine dental care for the professionals to help you prevent dental disease or correct it at early stage. A good general health is also required since many systemic disorder can cause oral diseases.

Maintenance: To keep anything in great working order, preventive maintenance is necessary. 1) see your dentist regularly, not just when a problem occurs 2) see your physician regularly, yearly physical exam is beneficial 3) practice excellent oral hygiene (oral b electric toothbrush, floss, waterpik, rotapoint 4) good sleep 5) stress reduction 6) no harmful habits (do not bite pens, etc, or use teeth as tools).
