Gingivitis ?: If you bleed following brushing you could have many forms of gingivitis. From mild to serious. You could also have the more serious periodontal disease, you might just be brushing too hard with or without a hard toothbrush. Has it been awhile since your last cleaning? Gum Health: Usually but not always, when a person spits up flecks of blood after brushing their teeth, this could mean that a person is exhibiting signs of advancing gum disease. Visit your dentist for a diagnosis. If the blood is coming from somewhere else, you must visit your physician.
